Geodatabase IOverview - In this two-day course, students will be introduced to the current ArcGIS Geodatabase environment. Local data will be used for the course. Participants learn how to create, use, edit and manage spatial and attribute data stored in the Geodatabase and how to share geodatabase schema with XML. A new Geodatabase is created from scratch. Data loading, topology rule creation, and maintaining data integrity through spatial and attribute validation will be covered. Participants are encouraged to bring their local data, if possible. Audience - This course is for spatial data managers and analysts who have an understanding of the ArcGIS desktop applications (ArcMap and ArcCatalog) and are ready to make use of the Geodatabase environment. New and existing data managers interested in migrating to the Geodatabase environment can benefit from taking this course. Goals - Topics Covered - Prerequisites and Recommendations - Registrants should have taken Introduction to ArcGIS II (for ArcView, ArcEditor, and ArcInfo), or have equivalent knowledge.
